Quantum gravity constraints on scale separation and de Sitter in five dimensions

We give evidence that supersymmetric anti-de Sitter vacua of five-dimensional supergravity cannot be scale separated as a consequence quantum gravity constraints, such the weak conjecture or species scale. show this in model-independent way for minimal and maximal theory we believe argument can extended to any amount preserved supercharges between. If combined with previous works stating non-supersymmetric must unstable, our results suggest no genuinely effective exists. At cost introducing an additional assumption on gravitino mass, extend analysis de well. However, few known stable do not satisfy thus evade constraints. This they are somehow different footing than their four-dimensional counterparts therefore deserve further investigation.
